Meijer’s Fight Against Cancer event
postponed until 2021

Dear participants, volunteer, charities and friends of the foundation,

With great energy and ambition, the board, volunteers and participants have been preparing for the fourteenth edition of Mont Ventoux.
The developments surrounding the corona virus unfortunately make it impossible to organize a large-scale event in France in a responsible manner.

After consultation with the board, France, sponsors and volunteers, we come to the conclusion that we cannot organize it. The health of all participants, supervisors and volunteers is paramount.

That does not alter the fact that there is a feeling of powerlessness and disappointment about moving this edition. We have found the main sponsor of the 2020 MEIJER Group event to be the main sponsor of 2021. We are therefore very pleased with this.

Keep training and stay healthy, See you in 2021

The COVID-19 has now spread to most parts of the world. Local authorities increasingly apply restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus, potentially impacting production and supply chains.

At Meijer Group in the Netherlands we are following our standard risk protocol and doing our utmost to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on our business. Some of our office employees will work remotely to secure business. Untill now we will remain fully operational.

This being said, we cannot ensure production and delivery in case the Local Authorities would announce nationwide quarantine, or the freight companies and carriers would be restricted.

Thanking for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

Kind regards,

Meijer Group
